(6) Pearl Jam's song "Jeremy" is a very controversial song, that allows the its viewers to to form their own opinions. Throughout the song there is a very bitter and heartfelt tone, that appeals to the audiences emotions. "With him on top lemon yellow sun, arms raised in a V," Jeremy creates himself a fantasy world, where he is king. "Daddy didn't give attention oh, the fact the mommy didn't care," related back to his home life. Jeremy was left out, didn't get attention, and felt his only escape to happiness; was a fantasy world.

By being picked on in class, and left out at home, the stress finally built up. Therefore when "Jeremy spoke out in class today," i don't understand the surprised reactions. Though having Jeremy blow up, was not an intentional gesture. yet due to no one giving Jeremy any attention, they had to face the consequences of their actions. "It seemed harmless," here we see guilt setting in when a bully realizes how one persons actions, affect anothers.

To better understand the the message of the song, we read the viewed the music video. The final scene leaving the audience to come up with their own ending. That in which makes the song and video so controversial. In the end Jeremy commits suicide, though if he shoot everyone else is up to you. Jeremy was looked at as a killer, but we realize he was just a confused kid, who no longer knew how to deal with the pressures of life.

(5) After reviewing my work, I realized my strengths and weaknesses. I noticed that every time I write about a topic, I try to hard to make it flow. Therefore in the end my writing is to fluid. I also realized, that I needed to review the rules of quotations. I also had noticed a few grammatical errors throughout my entries. Another thing I could work on would be expanding my vocabulary. I believe that one of my strengths is that I am good at grasping the concept of my writing; though sometimes I have trouble explaining myself. In conclusion I think that I am an ok writer, though am open for improvements. And hopefully overtime, I will be where I want to be with my writing.

(4) To know if someone is intelligent, you need to know what it means to be intelligent. To be intelligent means that you have the ability to learn or understand, and that ability to deal with new situations. Though people can be looked at as intelligent for many reasons. An intelligent person can be someone you look to for advice, they know many things, and adapt well to their environment. An intelligent person could also be someone that knows how to make decisions, and can take given information and make something out of it. Being intelligent also means that you know how to take a problem and find a solution. An intelligent person is someone who knows how to use both their brain, and also knows their common since. Intelligence is a trait that people have that shape them, it shows how much they know, and their strengths and weaknesses. Not everyone is intelligent for the same reason, but intelligence is something most people share.

(3) Growing up, we learn many things. We accumulate much knowledge, form are own beliefs, and over time discover the "truth." Throughout our lives we continue gaining knowledge, everything is based off of what we know. Knowledge really is power. Then by having knowledge, we begin to form our own beliefs. What we believe dose not necessarily have to be true, its just what we think. Someones beliefs can be based around anything: their religion, morals, raising of a family, and how they should act. But without knowledge, we wouldn't have anything to base our beliefs on. Which leads to truth, truth is something that is proven true. Although all truth is not proven, but for the most part, we believe that it is. An example of that would be heaven, depending on your beliefs in religion; you may or may not argue its existence. We also do not have to believe everything that is true, though when that happens we tend to question our beliefs in search of truth, to gain knowledge. The only things we know, are the things we are taught, we believe what were taught, and from there we search for truth.
